I had to go to the French Support Page and then to the French Drivers Download to be able to get the right driver. When installing, it did not say it was incompatible, just did not download the driver. I had assumed that when you downloaded your drivers and installed them they would automatically install in the right language.

I actually found part of my problem - the page of drivers and downloads were for an english operating system and did not ask in which languages you wanted the drivers. Would you have any idea of what is wrong ? The installation seems to proceed, the All-in-One Center appears and I seem to get the scan driver, but at some point I get the message above and the system cannot find the printer driver. When intsalling the driver on the laptop, I install it as a shared printer, hosted on my desktop. I downloaded the 7-64bits application, saved it on the laptop and did setup with the compatibility mode to Vista SP2 enabled. On top of running the patch recommended I also did a system restoration to before any try at installing the driver. I have set up the sharing options of the printer and disabled all firewalls and security applications. I would like to be able to print from a wireless laptop (HP G62-208CA) running Windows 7 64bits. My 926 printer is hooked by USB to a desktop Dell Dimension E520 using Vista 32bits and connected to a Linksys router.

I have tried all and I run into the problem "The Dell Photo AIO Printer 926 driver is not installed.

I have read the posts on the downloading of the 926 driver with windows 7, the FAQs, the pages on how to download with compatibility with 7.
